My old shackles were rusted on (previous owner dipped the rear end into salt water) so after trying unsuccessfully to remove the first bolt I took the truck into the local spring shop. One and a half hours and a couple of shims later (they are slightly narrower than stock) I drove away a happy camper. The truck now sits at the right height erasing thirteen years of spring sag. Now I want to get the keys and leaves for my model to ease it to the stance it should have had from new.
